Plantation Heritage Park in the City of Plantation offers a strikingly beautiful natural setting for catering next company barbecue, birthday gathering, or dream outdoor wedding. This 88.5-acre park once served as an agricultural experimentation station and is still filled with natural wonders such as charming duck ponds, sparkling lakes, and rare fruit trees which add a unique natural South Florida touch to your caterrd event’s setting.
Plantation Heritage Park’s tropical fruit grove serves as one of the park’s most unique and engaging focal points. Your party guests will be fascinated as they stroll through the rows of fruit trees representing such exotic places as Asia, Africa, and the Caribbean. Guests can also immerse themselves in the riches of the Anne Kolb Memorial trail. The trail named after former Broward County Commissioner and environmental champion, Anne Kolb, has recreated a tropical hardwood hammock, pine flatwoods, and a coastal strand forest.
Looking for the perfect location for your fairytale outdoor wedding? Plantation Heritage Park’s duck pond and gazebo provide the romantic outdoor setting you have dreamed off. Imagine about 30 of your closest loved ones gathered in the historic gazebo overlooking the dreamy duck pond. After your ceremony your guests can make their way through the park’s rich landscape to the Fountain Room for the reception. The 2,000 square foot, air-conditioned, Fountain Room can accommodate up to 100 guests as they celebrate and gaze out of the room’s large windows at the dazzling lake outside.
The park also features four small shelters for up to 30 guests, five medium shelters for 50 guests, and three large shelters for 100 guests. All have grills, picnic tables, water, and electricity for your expertly catered barbecue. Or choose one of the free-of-charge picnic tables with grills near the playgrounds where your kids can set their energies free.
All of your event guests will have plenty to keep them entertained with fitness trails, fishing and even an 18-hole disc golf course. The course winds through tropical, wooded, and other appealing terrain and offers excitement for all levels of players.
