Originally completed in 1922 as the winter estate residence of the Gilded Age indutrialist and original snow bird James Deering. Seeking warmer cliamtes, Deering began planning Vizcaya Miami in 1910. The 1st catered party took place on Christmas Day 1916! Miami Grill Catering was not available that day....the Holiday season gets very busy for us and they did not reserve our services in time. Villa Vizcaya Museum and Garden, Miami's original party hot spot offers impressive waterfront views of Biscayne Bay with a display of authentic Italian Renaissance bridges, grottos and elements of Baroque and Mediterranean Revival architecture within the interior of the home. In fact, it contains one of the most significant and stimulating collections of antique Italian furniture in United States. Currently owned by Miami Dade County, Vizcaya Miami is a slice of the past reminiscent of the times long ago with Vizcaya wedding flair.
