Camp Owaissa Bauer is a 110-acre tract of pineland with tropical hammocks and is located near Homestead Fl. Owaissa Bauer is a Miami Dade County area designed as a group camp ground for special activities. The natural features of the camp can be seen from its nature trails. Campers can learn about native South Florida wildlife, plant life, and about the geological history of South Florida. The natural resources of Owaissa Bauer are protected, planned, and designed for kids and grownups.
The facilities at Camp Owaissa Bauer include four air conditioned dormitory-style cabins that can sleep a total of 100 people. There are restrooms located in each cabin. The two non-air conditioned cabins can accommodate sleeping quarters for an additional 50 people. There are also three separate air conditioned rooms that can sleep a combined total of ten people featuring restrooms with separate men's & women's showers. Large air conditioned Dining Hall with fully equipped kitchen for catering events. The patio area has ping-pong tables, basketball courts and benches.
Camp Owaissa Bauer holds enough facilities to accommodate a total of 160 campers for overnight and extended period camping and is available to groups up to a year in advance. The organized groups have to bring as many directors, counselors, and kitchen personnel as are necessary to conduct their own program.
