Markham Park in Sunrise, and near Weston, boasts over 600 fun filled acres for your next event. It features some of the most unique activities any park in Broward County has to offer. Have your guests try their luck at the 18-hole disc golf course. Imagine team building with your co-workers at the 100 yard shooting range? Maybe take a radio controlled airplane pilot lesson, or simply see the delight in the kids’ eyes as they watch the experts maneuver their planes at the model airplane field. The adrenaline junkies in your group can challenge themselves on the roughly 14 miles of mountain bike trails at Markham Park. Guests come from all over South Florida just to try master the rugged trails that range from novice, to expert, and even adaptive/recumbent. There truly is a trail for everyone at Markham. Looking for something a bit more tame? Try the walking trails, fishing, kayaking, playgrounds, swimming pool, and slew of sports activities available at the park. Even your furry canine friend can get in on the action at “Barkham Park”. The 3.5 acre dog park features areas for large and small dogs to run and play on various structures. This area features three shelters for doggie dates and parties. But the fun doesn’t have to end after dark. Enjoy camping and stargazing through the powerful telescopes at the Fox Observatory until midnight.
Looking to host a large corporate event? Markham has an extra-large corporate shelter capable of hosting 250 plus guests and features three grills, restrooms on site, and plenty of parking. Markham even has a 23 acre field available for corporate events, concerts, and picnics.
Looking to host something more intimate? Markham Park features 8 comfortable shelters available for rent for your next party. Capacities range from 24 to 80 guests, some have electricity and all include grills for a deliciously catered BBQ.
