Inspired by a house they had seen in Eufaula, Alabama, they fell in love with its distinctive architecture and decided to replicate it in Vero Beach. The house's unique style, not commonly found in Florida, reflected the Fields' taste and roots in Independence, Missouri. The house was the Fields' cherished abode for many years, creating countless memories.

In 2009, Bob and Susan Fields moved out of the house, leaving it empty for several years. However, in 2015, the visionary transformation of the property began.
